Mojo Monday 237

I’ve decided to start participating in Mojo Monday – http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/. Every Monday, a new sketch is posted to the blog; you choose the colors, stamps, and embellishments to make it your own!

Join me each week and send me a picture of what you’ve created using Mojo Monday!

Here’s this week’s sketch:

Here’s my card based on the sketch:

This card uses the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper (available until Apr 30 on preorder; in the new catalog starting Jun 1) and the Summer Smooches coordinating brads. I was a little skeptical about the brads and not quite sure what to do with them – now I love them! The brads are only available until April 30, 2012 – be sure to order yours!

The butterflies were punched from colored paper that was embossed using the Big Shot and Polka Dot Embossing Folder. I used window sheets to punch an additional butterfly and layered on top of the color butterfly. (This idea cased from Diary of Two Crafty Girls Blog – March 28 Post – http://diaryoftwocraftygirls.blogspot.com/) The two are connected with white baker’s twine. The sentiment is part of the “Short and Sweet” which has quickly become a favorite and is retiring (see “Promotions” page to find out how you can get it). I used the 1 3/8″ Square Punch to cut the left side of the banner.
