Cupcake Bakery

Everyone loves a cupcake! Especially if it’s in a cute bakery window. 🙂 The Create a Cupcake and Cupcake Builder Punch are versatile and fun to use (watch for more projects with these products).

The awning is made using Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango with the Word Window Punch. Tape them to a thin strip of paper; cut the top edge to make it straight; tape another thin strip of paper to the back below the first (leave some room). Score twice using the Simply Scored tool – between the two thin strips of paper and below the second. Bend the paper to resemble an awning. You can play with the colors and patterns on the awning to match your theme.

The bottom of the stand is made by punching each side of a rectangle with the Large Oval Punch. The top of the stand is made using the Scallop Edge Border Punch.

Of course, it’s accompanied by a cute sentiment from Short & Sweet (a retiring set – see “Promotions” to find out how you can get it). The inside of the card is finished with a Tangerine Tango stamped cupcake from the Short & Sweet stamp set on white card stock.
