MOJO Monday 253

We had such a relaxing weekend, I felt so refreshed this morning. And now I have pink eye… great. The good news is that you can’t catch it by looking! šŸ™‚

The first sketch of the month is always a contest, so play along and upload your card to the Mojo Monday blog for a chance at winning. (And of course, email a picture to me!) Here’s the sketch today:

Here’s my card:

I can’t wait for Christmas for two reasons – it’s my favorite holiday and it’s so fun having a little one during the holidays because everything is so magical. Last year was the first year Hayden really understood the concept of leaving cookies out, Santa visiting, and full stockings!

The Holiday Catalog was introduced a year earlier this year so we could all get started on our holidays now! (Good idea!) My order came today and I was too excited to wait to use everything. The Snow Festival DSP is featured on this card; it’s so cheery and uses a fresh combination of winter colors. I broke in my new Make a Mitten Stamp set with coordinating builder punch – isn’t it cute?! – and added some baker’s twine to give it an exciting twist.

I love the new Designer Ribbon Slides; they are the perfect embellishment for any project. Another favorite is the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, available in the Annual Catalog (there’s a set in the Holiday Catalog with different patterns). This tool allows you to pierce small holes in your paper in different patterns – sometimes it’s that little extra that’s missing. Look closely at the edges of the DSP to see it.
