Birthday Surprise

I received this incredible handmade card from my parents for my birthday yesterday; I absolutely love it! They live in Arkansas (along with my sister) so we don’t get to see each other very often (we use webcam to half-make up for it).

The first picture shows the card “closed” and the second picture shows the card “open” (after you pull the top tab up). So cute!! The bottom right picture shows the envelope and the money / gift card holder.

Cindy (my mom!) used the  Aviary stamp set from the Annual Catalog along with a retired stamp set that also features birds and sentiments. I think they work together perfectly. The window sheet is stamped with Jet Black Staz-On. (A perfect example for this ink because Classic Stampin’ Pads won’t work on window sheets!)

The top of the pull tab is reinforced with a circle (folded over the back) and eyelet. The repeated bird cages at the bottom are embellished with retired organza ribbon and Basic Pearls.

Thank you for the amazing card, Mom! 🙂
