I found these two ideas from fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and combined them to make a small gift for my August workshop guests.
I love how these turned out and they were so simple! The Extra Large Tag Punch is perfect to act as a small spool for Baker’s Twine. Each “tote” held the entire set of seven.
And here’s the Two Tags Tote with supply list and tutorial:
Paper: Gumball Green, Snow Festival Designer Series Paper
Punches: 3/4″ Circle
Accessories: Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Two Tags Die, Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, Naturals Designer Buttons, White Baker’s Twine, Sticky Strip Adhesive, Simply Scored, Glue Dots
(1) Create the sides of the tote using two of the smaller tag from the Two Tags Die (with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine). Punch a hole in each with a 3/4″ Circle Punch.
(2) Create the box (Two Tags Tote Box Base Pattern) (3 1/2″ x 3 1/4″) and use Sticky Strip to assemble it. Put two pieces of Sticky Strip on the two opposite sides (front and back) and adhere one of the two tags on each side.
(3) Cut a strip of DSP to 1 1/4″ x 6 3/4″ and score at 2 3/4″, 3 3/4″, and 5″ – use Sticky Strip to attach to tote. Thread Baker’s Twine through button and adhere to tote using a Glue Dot. Tie a piece of ribbon to the top.
Note: You can close the top with an adhesive, but it will be more difficult for the recipient to open (and possibly even reuse).
