It’s time for another Mojo Monday, and I was going to keep with this week’s theme of Halloween (which you did not yet know!), but my Christmas stamp sets just kept popping out at me. So here it is – the sketch:
And my card:
This card is very simple and quick – perfect if you’re in a hurry. Or if you have a cranky toddler that wouldn’t nap. 😉 I used a non-traditional color scheme (Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Lucky Limeade) because quite frankly, I like being non-traditional. I also used one of my favorite stamps – the cute trees from Polar Party.
The circles on the right are more subtle – exactly how I wanted them – punched with a Paper Piercing Tool and the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack. The trees are colored with a blender pen and ink pads – a cost-effective way to still color if you don’t have the Stampin’ Write Markers. Blender pens also give more control for a watercolor look, if that’s your intent.
Paper: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Designer Series Patterned Paper Stack (In Colors), Whisper White
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Island Indigo, Basic Black, So Saffron, Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede
Stamp Set: Polar Party
Accessories: Paper Piercing Tool, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Designer Printed Brads (In Colors), Island Indigo Baker’s Twine, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Square Lattice Embossing Folder
Stay tuned for Halloween home decor projects everyday this week!
