Penny Spinner Tutorial

The Penny Spinner technique has so many possibilities and creates an exciting interactive piece! I used this tutorial by Stampin’ Up! to create my Penny Spinner Birthday Card. Essentially, you need to create a track for the penny to ride on; it can be any shape. Consider a circle, angle, or curve – use an X-acto knife or several dies to help. You need a 3/8” wide shape as a track. Just have fun with it!

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to make it:

(1) Use Word Window punch to punch a track into your card stock. Stamp card stock as desired.

(2) Sandwich a Stampin’ Dimensional between two pennies.

(3) Insert pennies into slot, carefully pulling at edges to avoid tearing card stock.

Not Pictured: Stamp and cut out your spinner image. Adhere to penny. Adhere card stock piece with spinner to your card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I’ve posted the tutorial of the Penny Spinner Card PDF to the Tutorials page so you can reference it whenever you need. I’d love to see your Penny Spinner creations!
