NEW: Year, Catalog, & Promotions!

Happy New Year! I know it’s cliche, but can you believe it’s already 2013? I feel like the last two months have completely flown by and gotten away from me.

Being a full-time stay at home mom from April through September really got me in a pickle. I discovered new blogs, new craft projects, sewing, and the reality of Pinterest. Don’t get me wrong – I had a great time; but now that I’m back to work, I can’t figure out how I managed everything!

I have no doubt that the new year is definitely going to be challenging, but I hope you’ll stick with me. I have so many projects that I have already made and want to make – and of course, share with you. I won’t try to commit to a certain number of projects a week; I’m just going to do my best.

That being said, there are several new things with Stampin’ Up! that I’m excited to share with you!

The Spring Catalog is here and runs January 3 – May 31, 2013. I hope you like it as much as I do – I’d love to hear your thoughts about your favorite items in the comments! It’s so hard to pick a favorite – I love the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP.

Sale-a-Bration 2013 starts on January 22 – and I think you’ll love the products that are available this year. I’ll be showcasing some as soon as I receive my order!

What is Sale-a-Bration? This year, Sale-a-Bration runs January 22 – March 22, 2013 and offers free products for every $50 (before tax and shipping) that you spend in any of the catalogs. Sale-a-Bration products are not priced – they are free with purchase – and range from paper to accessories to stamp sets.

I will only be keeping my online ordering website active until the end of January. I originally signed up to allow my customers to order Clearance items and order 24 / 7. But, I’ve noticed that most would prefer to contact me directly – and I love taking care of you! If you’d like me to keep it active, please let me know in the comments below.

I think that’s enough for now! I’ll be back later this week with some products that aren’t in the catalog. 🙂

Stampin’ Up! is kicking off November in a big way! From November 1 – December 16, the new ink-redible promotion offers an entire collection of stamp pads for FREE when you host a qualifying party ($450 or more before tax and shipping) or sign up to become a demonstrator. That’s a $49.95 value!

HOSTESS: You can invite your friends to a party at your house, where we’ll complete a make-and-take and a demonstration and talk stamps! Or, you can host a catalog party, where your friends can order from the catalog, and you get the benefits. Not only will you get a new stamp pad collection (excluding Neutrals & InColor Collections), but you’ll also get free merchandise based on your party total.

DEMONSTRATOR: Be a part of the Stampin’ Up! family and share what you love with your friends while earning extra income and getting product discounts. You can join my team by signing up to be a demonstrator. Not only will you receive $125 of product for only $99, but you’ll also receive a free stamp pad collection (excluding Neutrals & InColor Collections) and other great perks!

The best part? You have no commitment to make purchases or sell product to meet quarterly sales minimums until April 2013! There’s no penalty for quitting, but we’re pretty sure that once you start, you won’t want to stop!

Stampin’ Up! added two assortments to the Single Stamp Pilot that I mentioned a few weeks ago. Check out the assortments – including several never-before-seen stamps (!) – on the Promotions page.

Bi-monthly, demonstrators receive an exclusive publication from Stampin’ Up! filled with inspiration, business tips, and information from other demonstrators. For the first time ever, it’s your turn to get a glimpse of Stampin’ Success Magazine. It’s only one of the benefits you’d receive if you sign up to be a demonstrator too.

Annnnnnnd, before I go, I promise I’ll be back next week with some creative inspiration! I apologize for my absence – vacation and Halloween got the best of me. Oh, what’s that? You’d like to see a picture of us at Halloween? I’m pretty darn proud of this, so I’ll take a second to brag – I made the Mario hat and the Toad costume, except the shirt!

Check out these amazing tutorials that I used for the costumes: Mario Hat  |  Toad Hat & Vest  |  Pajama Pants

Have a great weekend!

Change is Good

Over the past few days, I’ve been working to update my blog by adding some new materials and resources for you. Be sure to check out the navigation bar and these new features:

RESOURCES MENU: Find all of the “old” templates along with a new hiding place for all tutorials that have been published on my blog. Each one is available in PDF format, so you can easily print and take it crafting with you! Stay tuned, because I have big plans for the templates page, too!

MY DIGITAL STUDIO: I recently purchased My Digital Studio (MDS) and will be posting projects to show you. But that’s not all! These pages contain handy resources to help you get started with MDS, learn new techniques by video, keep current with the newest downloads, or view the entire catalog.

ETSY & CUSTOM: I’ve opened an Etsy shop! You can now purchase many of the projects featured on my blog, and some new projects. Check back often because I will be adding more items regularly. Interested in custom work? I’ve got you covered! Send me an email with your project details, and let’s get started! AND, please share Studio29Creative Etsy & Custom with your friends and family!

Coming Up – We’re going to finish off the week on Friday with a new guest blogger! 🙂

Recipes and Free Printable

Welcome back to “cooking week!”

I wanted to share the recipes I used on Monday in today’s post and give you a free printable that I created using Stampin’ Up!’s My Digital Studio (MDS) products. If you’re crafty with a computer, then MDS is perfect for you – simply purchase your products in digital format, create your project, and order it with Stampin’ Up!’s professional printing options.

You can read more about My Digital Studio, get started with a 30-day free trial, or learn about the 31% off MDS promotion – only available during August 2012.

Not interested in MDS? It’s okay – you can still purchase Stampin’ Up! products in digital format and use them with other applications!

This cute recipe card uses the Domestic Goddess Designer Series Paper, which is retired in the Annual Catalog. It’s not retired as an MDS product, though. You can download a free printable recipe card (sized at 3.5″ x 5″) below. All you have to do is print, cut, and write!

Two Recipe Cards on a Page

And now for the recipes (both found on Pinterest; instructions modified):

Press a layer of refrigerated cookie dough in greased mini muffin pans. Place Reese’s peanut butter cup upside down on top of the dough. (You can use mini Oreo’s, but our favorites were definitely the peanut butter cups.) Fill the top of the cup (to about 3/4 full) with brownie batter. Bake at 350*F for about 18 minutes.

You can really use your own pie recipe for these and bake them in regular sized muffin pans. But for the purpose of a recipe, I’ll share with you what I did. Peel, core, and slice two apples. Mix them in cinnamon, sugar, and about a teaspoon of flour. Cut your pie dough into six circles using a large circle cookie cutter or the top of a large plastic container. (I used pre-made pie doug and a bread crumb container lid.) Press the circles into your muffin pan and fill with apple mixture. Cut six more circles of pie dough. Using a straw or something similar, cut a design in the pie dough. Place on top of the filled muffin cups and pinch around the edges to seal. Baste with egg to give the golden brown look. Bake at 350*F for about 30 minutes.

Check back on Friday for the completed project – encompassing everything in this week’s posts!

Spooktacular Starter Kit

Continue your hobby or start a business with Stampin’ Up! When you purchase the $99 fully customizable starter kit during the month of August, you’ll also receive this great printer’s tray project as a FREE bonus.

Cute project! I’m still trying to figure out how I can get one! 🙂 The best part:

  • Get a 20% discount on every order, plus 30% off your first order of $150 or more.
  • Receive additional income (volume rebates) on sales over $400 / month. You could reach income up to 40% of your personal sales.
  • There’s no obligation to meet quarterly minimums until December 31, and there’s no penalty if you decide to quit.
  • Access to Stampin’ Connection, Stampin’ Up!’s online forum for demonstrators with thousands of project ideas and samples.
  • You’ll be able to pre-order merchandise one month earlier than anyone else!

Questions? Send me an email: I look forward to talking with you about the great benefits of being a demonstrator.

Check back on Thursday for a special offer with My Digital Studio products and printing (during August only)!
